The Giant

The Giant

“Courage doesn’t always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying:

I will try again tomorrow.” Mary Anne Radmacher

Creative endeavours are tough. There are obstacles and difficulties along the way that will need to be overcome. Sometimes, these obstacles may seem insurmountable, like a giant standing in your way, or chasing you down the beanstalk. Sometimes, after one giant is down, another pops right out. It takes courage and tenacity to face giant after giant.

The best way to overcome difficulties is to be prepared, where possible by trying to preempt them and where not, by adopting a “can do” attitude thoughout the creative journey, tackling each obstacle as it comes along. It is important during this process to reexamie the parameters and change course or adapt your solution whenever necessary. Don’t be afraid to “cut the beanstalk”!
